FIFP- is a Forum of Industrial Fisheries Professionals who have pursued a career in the fisheries sector. The forum started functioning on online platforms, on August 10,2020. The forum is a non political and non profit oriented platform. Membership of the forum is by invitation.

At FIFP, we bring together a global community of fishermen, environmentalists, policymakers, scientists, and businesses dedicated to advancing the sustainability, innovation, and management of the world’s fisheries. Our mission is to foster informed discussions, share insights, and collaborate to promote healthy aquatic ecosystems, responsible fishing practices, and resilient fisheries for generations to come.



OBJECTIVE

The objective of the forum is to pool in the wealth of experience and wide range of expertise of the members to function as a resource base for the dissemination of knowledge and expertise for the development of the fisheries sector and for the mutual enrichment of members.



AIM

FIFP aims to conduct seminars/ webinars on topics of relevance to the fisheries sector at regular intervals, publish peer reviewed webinar/ seminar papers in suitable on line platforms, provide guidance and support to the fisheries students and job aspirants in their career pursuit, organise talks on important topics by eminent scholars, administrators, managers, scientists working in fisheries sector, be online for seamless communication and discussions among forum members and interact with the trade, academia, state and national administrations, national and international bodies in the fisheries sector.

Our forum consists of members who hold expertise in various fileds of fisheries. We regularly provide guidance to students and youn professionals for the way forward in the industry.

Technical Problem Solving

We have a technical team which holds members who specialise in troubleshooting problems related to seafood processing, marketing, certification and aquaculture.
